BACK ON TOP 2020-21: Red Foxes Win ‘21 MAAC Championship The Marist women’s basketball team captured its 11th MAAC championship with an emphatic 69-30 victory over Saint Peter’s. The Red Foxes set conference records for largest margin of victory and fewest points allowed in a championship game. The Red Foxes led wire-to-wire as they scored the first 12 points of the game as they held the Peacocks scoreless for the first five minutes.
Senior co-captain Willow Duffell was named the Most Valuable Player of the MAAC Championship. In Marist’s three games, Duffell averaged 17.0 points. 12.7 rebounds, and 4.7 assists. Fellow senior co-captain Allie Best was named to the All-Championship Team, as was freshman Caitlin Weimar.
