Ware Malcomb provided full service interior design, branding and construc- tion management services for the 900-square meter project. oston, MA — Avison Young’s Boston office space has been awarded LEED Gold status from the U.S. Green Building Coun- cil (USGBC ). The company received the award after moving into, and upgrading, larger premises at 200 State St. in Boston. Avison Young moved into a 14,460 s/f space, including the pent- house, in 2017 to accommodate business growth. The firm’s Boston office has been located at 200 State St. since 2012. The LEEDGold certification in Boston is part of the com- pany’s global citizenship ef- forts, which include aiming to achieve the highest standards in sustainable operations. As part of the new space build-out, the company lever- aged the expertise of its own Boston project management team, led by vice president of IRVINE, CA — Ware Mal- comb announced a new area of expertise in designing proj- ects to achieve Well Building Standard (WELL) certifica- tion from the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI) . The firm is offering this service to clients across its 22 offices throughout North America. WELL is the world’s first building standard focused exclusively on human health and wellness, setting per- formance requirements in seven categories relevant to occupant health in the built environment: air, water, nourishment, light, fitness, comfort and mind. “Many of our clients are interested in sustainable de- sign, and the WELL program takes this concept to a new level in which companies are creating buildings that are designed and built with their employees’ health and well- being in mind,” said Tiffany English , principal of Ware Malcomb and a member of the firm’s company-wide Interiors Advisory Group.
