PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS BuyBoard is member-governed by the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB). They have 11 members on their board of directors, most which are purchasing professionals that represent members of schools, cities, and counties. They govern the cooperative and award contracts to vendors through a bid solicitation. School districts, cities, counties, and other governmental entities outside of Texas join the BuyBoard’s National Purchasing Cooperative to access and take advantage of the streamlined purchasing process. BuyBoard is an online purchasing cooperative that gives its members best pricing on products, equipment, and services that they use every day. Its purpose is to obtain the benefits and efficiencies that can accrue to members of a cooperative, to comply with state bidding requirements, and to identify qualified vendors of commodities, goods, and services. The cooperative also relieves the burdens of governmental purchasing by effectively using current technology and realizing economies of scale.

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS HGAGBuy is a nationwide, government procurement service striving to make the governmental procurement process more efficient. Units of local government, including non-profits providing governmental services, are eligible to become participating members of the HGACBuy Cooperative. All contracts available to participating members have been awarded by virtue of a public competitive procurement process compliant with state statutes. Procurement programs create a legal pathway to purchasing recreational products in a manner that saves time and money for the member. There are many government entities that can purchase through procurement programs: • Municipalities, cities, counties, state agencies • K-12 schools, school districts, colleges, universities • Councils of government • Hospitals and hospital districts
• Emergency medical services and service districts • Volunteer fire departments and rural fire prevention districts • Special law enforcement jurisdictions • Judicial courts and districts • Emergency communications districts • Utility Districts (MUDs, WCIDs, irrigation, etc.) • Authorities (airport, port, river, water, toll road, etc.) • Non profit corporations [501(c)(3)] providing government functions & services SUPERIOR DISCOUNT Superior holds awarded contracts that are renewed annually through HGAC.
