University of Reading - Senior Project Manager

INTRODUCTION The Estates team at Reading is re-organising around a ‘one estates’ team ethos that will enable seamless delivery under the newly approved Estate Strategy. The University is growing its student pop- ulation, but not its footprint. We must look to a modern, innovative data driven solution to meet this challenge. The Estate Strate- gy sets out the framework within which the Estate will be developed to meet the Univer- sity’s income growth aspirations. This will see significant capital investment leading to the enhancement of the campus over the next decade. Within this, there are several major capital projects. Reporting to the Campus Development Director, the Senior Project Manager will be responsible for managing a portfolio of pro- jects that emanate from the Estate Strategy. We are seeking an individual who would relish the opportunity to deliver a full range of new build, redevelopment, refurbishment and sustainability projects across the Universi- ty’s estate portfolio. Projects span a diverse range of properties including research facili- ties, teaching facilities, listed buildings, social and recreational space, commercial space, and public realm areas, up to circa £30m in value. The challenge is real and immediate, we must do more with less. It is an exciting and chal- lenging time for the right individual to join the team and make a difference.
