uRBAN sOAP pASTE
Beldi Soap Paste is the soap used in the hamams (bathhouses) of Morocco. It's used to soften the skin, before exfoliation.
Savon noir, also called beldi soap, or hamam soap
We've adapted the hamam practice for Urban Lifestyle
Best used on warm, damp skin - after soaking in a bath or steaming in the shower for a time. Moroccans apply it after spending a little time in a steamy hamam (bathhouse). The idea is to open your pores up. You can replicate this by allowing your shower to steam your bathroom After 10 minutes or so, apply beldi soap to your skin and allow it to soak in for 3 to 10 minutes. Again, here, the Moroccans are sitting in a steamy sauna like environment. The soap remains on and your next step is to exfoliate. The Moroccans use a kessa mitt - try our bATH bODY sPONGE! Rinse and you are done. You will find your skin is very soft and moisturized, from the deep penetration of high quality oils but you can apply a light lotion if desired. Directions: Apply a thin layer on the wet/damp skin, leave 1 to 10 minutes, then rinse, gently massage using your uRBAN wHIP bATH + bODY sPONGE, exfoliating gloves or loofah or Kassa, and finish with hot bath or warm shower. It will leave your skin clean, radiant smooth and soft. For best results use with hot bath, shower or steam bath. Great as a Facial Soap and would recommend doing a facial steam first with our 3 in 1 Facial Steams. Then proceed with the Steps above
The Beldi Soap is created with a base of fruit and Vegetable Purees.
Fantastic as a soothing skin cleanser and perfect after a day in the sun.
