A s part of our commitment to developing sustainable business practices, Scrutton Bland have i committed to a programme of tree planting which takes place every year. Sustainable development of a business can create value for you, your customers and your investors, and incorporating sustainable initiatives into your corporate strategies will provide tangible benefits. As well as the obvious improvements to operational efficiencies and costs through better use and conservation of energy resources and waste reduction, there is evidence showing that customers are much more likely to buy a product or service if they know that the company is mindful of its impact on the environment and society. The 2015 tree planting event took place at Assington in Sudbury where Scrutton Bland staff members were ably assisted by the Gardening Club children of Frinton Primary School to plant oak tree saplings. Despite the rainy October weather, there was no lack of enthusiasm as the children showed off their superior gardening skills to plant trees that will sustain the environment for many years to come.
