The Lakes South Morang College - Issue 09

ACADEMIC PROGRESS AND REPORTING Semester One reports have now been distributed for students in Years Prep to 10. VCE reports will be sent home in the first week of this Term, to allow teachers time over the break to mark exams. I encourage parents/carers to review the reports thoughtfully and contact classroom teachers with any questions or concerns—particularly if expected learning growth has not occurred.

TERM 3 HIGHLIGHTS COLLEGE

100 days of Prep and Year 7, on August 1, we will proudly mark 100 Days of Learning with both our Prep and Year 7 students—one of the rare occasions where a school community celebrates this milestone across both the beginning and middle years. This event acknowledges not just the passing of time, but the growth, collaboration and achievement each student has made since the start of the year. As part of the celebration, students will contribute a personal reflection or artefact to their individual “ vault ” —a collection that will be returned to them at their Year 12 Graduation, symbolising their learning journey at The Lakes. Freaky Friday – The College Production , featuring students from Years 5 – 12, is a true celebration of creativity, teamwork and school pride (August 18 – 19 @ PRACC)
