Q: How do I sign up for emergency alerts? A: Orange County utilizes RaveAlert for mass notifications for natural disasters including severe storms, torna- does, floods, or man - made disasters, such as chemical spills, bio - hazards, and Amber Alerts. Sign - up today here. RaveAlert will also allow citizens to opt in to the Smart911 program without having to re - register. Smart911 allows citizens to provide the additional details that 911 call takers may need in order to assist them during an emergency.
