Kopriva Angus - Annual Angus Bull & Female Sale [5/1/25]

3 Fall Bred Heifers and 5 Fall Bred Cows

After sorting off our replacement heifers, we selected a nice even group of heifer calves to offer at the sale this year. They are granddaughters of Resource, Chisum, Outright 452, Cowboy Up, McCumber Fortunate 512, Niagara, Legendary, Comrade, Barricade, Crossbow, Right Cross, and Unique along with a few AI sired. They were bangs vaccinated and given Ultrabac 7/ Somubac on Dec 6th. On March 8th, they were given Bovi-Shield Gold FP 5, Spirovac VL5, and poured with Inhibidor. We boostered them with Spirovac VL5 and gave a round of Fusogard footrot vaccine and Anthrax vaccine on April 10th. The average weight of these heifers on April 10 was 819. The heifers were purposely penned with fenceline contact with the yearling bulls to expedite puberty. These heifers have been fed and developed identically to the ones we chose to keep on a growing 46 Mcal TMR ration consisting of earlage, corn silage, soybean meal, 0.8# Developer AV4 XPC R700 pellet, and ground hay (bromegrass/native grass and alfalfa)). To be sold as commercial heifers without papers.
