Oklahoma City’s passionate commitment to the NBA’s Oklahoma City Thunder is well publicized. Since the team’s inaugural 2008-09 season, the OKC Thunder have made the playoffs regularly, produced multiple MVP award winners and brought NBA Championship games to the Modern Frontier. The team plays at Paycom Center , located in the heart of downtown, where Thunder gear is readily available in the team shop pre-game, as well as Monday through Saturday. Known as “Loud City,” Paycom Center was, at one point, sold out for 350 consecutive Thunder games. With a new arena on the way and the team fresh off one of its best seasons in a decade, now is the perfect time to check out a Thunder game in Oklahoma City. OKC is proud to be the home of USA Softball, the nation’s governing body for the beloved diamond sport, and the USA Softball Hall of Fame. The NCAA Women’s College World Series is played in Oklahoma City every June at the state-of-the- art complex, bringing teams from around the country to compete in the Softball Capital of the World. Aside from the athletes themselves, this annual event brings thousands of visitors and fans to the city for nine days of action-packed championship softball. This is a top-notch, family -friendly sporting event that draws national media and other viewers from across the country to its festival atmosphere and incredible athletic competition. If you’re a softball fan, there’s no better place to visit than Oklahoma City.
