But an event of this scale doesn’t just happen; it takes a village to lift a festival. This year, we are taking major strides toward sustainability and local business support. Thanks to the generous support of the Port Stanley BIA, we are introducing a Free Shuttle from St. Thomas to Port Stanley to ease traffic congestion and offer a stress-free option for visitors. Also to ensure our local merchants feel the benefit of these crowds, we are transforming our traditional Marketplace into a Community Organization Showcase and launching a village-wide Treasure Hunt activity. In Port Stanley Ontario, even if it’s just for a magical long weekend. Last year, the festival was a success, drawing a surge in daily visitors to our beautiful lakeside village. This remarkable turnout showed the festival’s appeal and proved how deeply people want to connect with our maritime culture. Excitingly, we have officially become a registered non-profit organization! This status marks a milestone for us, and we look forward to growing the festival each year.
