This has been a highlight of the Sale of Excellence for many of the 26 years! One of the greatest benefits to the breed has been the opportunity to go into this outstanding herd of BEEF cattle and select a matron that can have a huge influence among the breed. From the selection by Camp Cooley at $25,000 in 2002, JDJ Ms Perfect G166, that had a monumental effect on that large program to JDJ Ms Cigar B2011 that has been very influential to consignments of her offspring to this sale! Her first calf commanded $9500.00 in the next Sale of Excellence! And there are many selections in this Hall of Fame that have been successful. BHD Ms Cobalt Z767, the dam of DC/BHD Shazam, that sired the $60,000 high dollar bull in DeBruycker’s 2023 sale and the high selling bull in their 2025 sale, $32,000 to Alan Vedvie, SD., sired by DC/BHD Flash G3227 ET, another Z767 son. Both sired by DC/JDJ Pegasus D3330, another sire influence in the Sale of Excellence. The pick of 2024 was the grandam of Bobby Keahey, AL. and Bradford Agriculture’s herd sire from DeBruycker, DC/CJC Sage K1175. Selection must be made by August 1, 2025. If a pair is selected and the cow has a bull calf at side, DeBruycker’s retain a ¼% interest in the bull calf a once in a lifetime opportunity! Selection should be made by August 1, 2024.
