MILL STRAND INTEGRATED SCHOOL & NURSERY, PORTRUSH
BLIND & CURTAIN INSTALLATIONS Anderson Interiors Ltd reunited with main contractor Lowry Building & Civil Engineering (LBCE) to supply and install a package of blinds, curtains and curtain tracks in the new school. The shading solution specialist delivered 45 Impala Nexus vertical blinds and four Defiant R20 chain-operated roller blinds, all of which featured Unilux PVC fabric in anthracite. Its commission also extended to three KuroLok chain-operated fly screens with aluminium hardware in white, and four sets of curtains using fabric from the Edmund Bell VENUS range in graphite and paired with Vitesse 7400 cord-operated aluminium curtain tracks in white. The installation was straightforward, with LBCE always a pleasure to work with, according to Manager Steven McMullan- Hamilton. Anderson Interiors’ growing portfolio of education projects includes Ulidia Integrated College in Carrickfergus and St Joseph’s High School in Crossmaglen with O’Hare McGovern, as well as NRC’s new Coleraine and Ballymena campuses with Heron Bros. It also delivers shading solutions for HSC trusts and high-end domestic applications.
STREET FURNITURE
ASF Engineering Limited, a specialist in fitting out public realm spaces, supplied external street furniture to Mill Strand Integrated School & Nursery. The Ballymena-based business provided bollards, seating, cycle shelters, tree surrounds, door guards and litter bins for the school grounds. Melvin Smyth, Managing Director, said, “Everything we supplied was bespoke to the project with our company designing and manufacturing all products at our Ballymena factory. “Lowry Building & Civil Engineering is a good customer of ours, and always professional and easy to work with.
