HAGAN HOMES APPOINTS JIM BURKE AS MD TO LEAD EXPANSION
DIGITAL CREATIVE RECOGNISED WITH YOUNG
Hagan Homes has appointed Jim Burke as managing director of Hagan Homes, as the housebuilder eyes an ambitious new growth era. With the business for over 35 years, having joined aged 16 via a Youth Training Programme scheme, he brings a wealth of experience and intimate knowledge of the homebuilding industry to the role. Hagan Homes’ third employee, Jim and the company’s first employee Henry Campbell have been with the company ever since, with Jim starting in a junior support role and steadily progressing through the ranks.
SUPPLIER ACHIEVER AWARD
A digital creative based in Larne has been presented with the Young Supplier Achiever Award by national trade body the BMF (Builders Merchants Federation). Kathryn Douglas, Senior Digital Marketing Executive at Kilwaughter Minerals, has been recognised for her achievements in transforming the digital offer across brands including K Rend and K Systems. Starting out as a website executive at the firm in 2020, Kathryn’s achievements over the last four years have included the launch of three new websites, impactful video content and customer support. One of five finalists for the BMF Young Supplier Achiever Award, Kathryn was announced as the winner at the Federation’s annual Conference and Awards hosted by Countdown’s Colin Murray and held at the Leonardo Hinckley Island Hotel in Leicestershire. Kilwaughter recently joined the Saint- Gobain group, following conclusion of the regulatory process after it reached a binding agreement to acquire the Larne company. www.kilwaughter.com

£350K PRODUCTIVITY INITIATIVE FOR SMES LAUNCHED BY ECONOMY MINISTER
Economy Minister Conor Murphy has introduced an SME Productivity Booster, a new £350,000 initiative aimed at increasing productivity and skills in small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs).
