NI FIRE & RESCUE SERVICE LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT COLLEGE, COOKSTOWN
STOREND FLEX COTE, STOTHERM AND K REND RENDERING SYSTEMS WERE ALL USED BY THE PLASTERING AND FLOOR SCREED SPECIALIST THROUGHOUT KEY BUILDINGS IN THE NEW CAMPUS… SCREED, PLASTER & RENDER
Colin Fox was sub-contracted to install floor screed, plastering and rendering throughout the new NI Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) Learning & Development College. Representing a £50m investment by NIFRS, the extensive campus includes a central Learning & Development Centre (LDC) featuring nine classrooms, workstations, an assembly hall and kitchen, dining, gym and changing facilities. Colin Fox installed the StoRend Flex Cote and StoTherm insulated render systems throughout the LDC, as a registered applicator of both systems. StoRend Flex Cote is a reinforced render system, which has set the industry benchmark for over 30 years, using high-
quality materials to provide exceptional crack resistance, weather protection and a durable, professional finish. StoTherm is a range of external wall insulation systems offering a variety of insulation materials, reinforcement layers and surface finishes. In the Training Warehouse, a huge space offering simulated training environments for marine, residential, industrial and commercial premises, Colin Fox used a K Rend system. The UK and Ireland’s market-leading render brand, K Rend is manufactured by the Kilwaughter Group in Larne. Main contractor Felix O’Hare was a pleasure to work with, according to Colin Fox, Director of the plastering and floor screed specialist, with the project
