GAELSCOIL UI DHOCHARTAIGH PRIMARY SCHOOL & NURSERY, STRABANE
PROJECT MANAGER Hood McGowan Kirk LLP (HMK) led the large, multi- disciplinary team delivering Gaelscoil Uí Dhochartaigh, a bright, modern facility on a greenfield site outside Strabane. Managing the integrated consultant team for the new build, the leading construction consultancy served as economic operator, project manager and quantity surveyor responsible for overall project delivery. Incorporating both primary and nursery provision, the new school extends to 1,800sqm and includes extensive sitewide landscaping. Gaelscoil Uí Dhochartaigh is the latest addition to HMK’s education sector portfolio, which also includes the 10,000sqm Shimna Integrated College in Newcastle and 4,500sqm St Patrick’s Primary School in Belfast. The Belfast-based business provides quantity surveying and project management services to industry-leading clients across a wide range of sectors and specialisms. FENCING
Kane Fencing was sub-contracted by Connolly & Fee to supply and install fencing for the new seven-classroom primary school and standalone nursery. High-security SR1-certified fencing and gates were installed around the perimeter of the property, alongside internal demarcation fencing. Having previously partnered with the main contractor to deliver education projects, the Gaelscoil Ui Dhochartaigh project proceeded to plan without any complications.
