10. Cancelled and postponed courses
If a scheduled MHFA England course delivery needs to be unexpectedly postponed or cancelled, the Instructor Member must inform the learners booked onto the course at the earliest opportunity. Where possible, learners should be offered the choice of booking onto an alternative course date. If this is not possible, learners should be provided with a refund. Instructor Members must ensure that learners are communicated with in a timely manner and in line with the guidance in section 4 of this handbook. To amend or delete a course listing from the MHFA England website, please email instructorsupport@mhfaengland.org with the details of the course, including the course ID number, and the action that you would like taken to amend or delete the details. Associate Instructors and National Trainers Where a course or programme scheduled by MHFA England needs to be postponed or cancelled, the relevant team will liaise with the learners and the relevant Associate Instructors or National Trainers to keep them informed of the situation. Where possible, learners will be booked onto an alternative course or programme as soon as possible. If an Associate Instructor is unexpectedly unavailable to deliver the course that they have been allocated due to unforeseen circumstances, they must inform the relevant Client Delivery Manager as urgently as possible, and copy in workplace@mhfaengland.org .
If a National Trainer is unexpectedly unavailable to deliver an Instructor Training Programme as scheduled, or unable to complete the full range of duties associated with the programme delivery, they are responsible for informing the Training Delivery team. They are also responsible for liaising with the Training Delivery team about finding a suitable substitute National Trainer to cover the delivery, as referenced in section 3.2 .
