Assessment framework for Instructor Members applying to become National Trainers.

Criteria

Not met

Qualified to deliver less than the required three MHFA England products and/or Ten full courses have not yet been delivered and/or Learner evaluations regularly fall below ‘good’ level Demonstrates no knowledge of and/or expresses views contrary to MHFA England’s mission and values Contributes negatively to the reputation of the organisation

Track record of high quality training delivery across a range of products

Behaves as an ambassador and representative for MHFA England

Positive attitude towards people with mental health issues

Uses negative/unsupportive language/demonstrates negative attitude towards mental health issues

Knowledge and understanding of mental health issues

Does not demonstrate appropriate knowledge and understanding of mental health issues

Demonstrates very little/no knowledge or understanding of how to celebrate, support, and respect the diversity of learners and colleagues Demonstrates language or behaviour that excludes people with different identities and/or beliefs Lacks confidence in challenging behaviours from learners and/or peers that do not reflect the words and spirit of MHFA England’s equity and inclusion commitments

Celebrates diversity, and proactively supports equity and inclusion for learners and colleagues

Thorough approach to delivery preparation

Does not prepare effectively for course delivery
