Day 3: Julian Alps Enjoy the great outdoors today, discovering the beauty of the Julian Alps. Take in the fresh mountain air as you head through the Upper Sava Valley to the Vrsic Mountain Pass, one the highest roads in Slovenia, where you’ll get the best views of this beautiful destination. Afterwards, descend into the Trenta Valley and drive along the emerald shores of the Soča River on your way to Predil Mountain Pass. Day 4: Ljubljana Explore the best of Ljubljana’s Old Town, winding through its narrow, cobbled streets by foot. Take in the views from the castle-topped hill and stroll along the riverside of the Ljubljana River. Immerse yourself in the history of the centre as you admire the Venetian-influenced architecture of the Town Hall and Nikolai Cathedral. Day 5: Kranjska Gora Explore Kranjska Gora at your own pace today, with a leisurely day in the city surrounding your hotel. Day 6: Julian Alps Today you’ll venture to Slovenia’s largest lake, Lake Bohinj, before heading to the Bohinj Valley where you’ll take in the panoramic views on a cable car up Mount Vogel. Next, we head to Lake Bled, where you’ll visit the island on a traditional wooden Pletna boat. Day 7: Kranjska Gora Spend one last day exploring Kranjska Gora at your leisure or take part in an optional excursion to Postojna Caves, a natural spectacle built over millions of years. You’ll then visit the Predjama Castle, a renaissance building dating back to the middle-ages. By evening, enjoy a farewell dinner with traditional folklore dancing. Optional: Predjama Castle and Postojna Caves Day 8: Ljubljana - UK Spend a morning relaxing before your return flight to the UK.
