MEET YOUR FUTURE VOLUNTEER LEADERS

Briana Giampaoli Live Oak Farms

Briana is head of Marketing and Product Innovation at Live Oak Farms in Le Grand, Calif., a grower of bell peppers, jalapeno peppers and tomatoes. In this position, she leads all marketing, branding and innovation activities. Prior to returning to Live Oak Farms, Briana was the Food Safety Coordinator at Rousseau Farming Company in Tolleson, Ariz. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Business and Management at California State University, Chico. Briana participated in FPFC’s leadership program and currently serves as Co-President of the Merced Chapter of California Women for Agriculture.

Our friends/growers out in Gilroy convinced me I needed a dog when I was working for them after I moved home back in 2018. They had well trained cattle and hunting dogs and insisted everyone needed a dog. Turns out they were right! This is Olive!! I had never been a dog owner. They let me bring her to work and taught me how to train her. Now I couldn’t imagine my life without her!

Supporting the community that has always supported Live Oak has always been important to me. I’m a full believer that you have to give back what you get. California Women for Agriculture is one of my favorite organizations to be a part of. My grandmother helped pioneer the Merced chapter as well as serving as chapter president and I’m now serving as Chapter President, which makes the experience that much more special.

A pic of my dad and I at SF Giants game. I get my love of sports from both of my parents. Whether it is playing them or watching, sports has been a huge part of my life. There’s so much more to a game than the entertainment. I appreciate the skill it takes the athletes to perform at that level. Seeing a great catch or a perfectly executed play is what makes it fun! With a beer in my hand makes it that much better!

Being the 4 th generation at Live Oak Farms, I’ve worked in all areas in the company. This past year I stepped into a Sales position, and it turned out to be extremely rewarding. I enjoy meeting people throughout our industry and creating strong relationships. We have a solid team and enjoy what we do, which makes it even better!

I’m a sporty girl through and through. If it involves being active and poses a challenge, I’m in! I’ve always skied, but over the past years I’ve been driven to improve my skills on the mountain. Looking forward to the winter months to get some shredding in!!

This picture represents two things I love. Being a Godmother to Maggie has been a highlight in my life for the past 4 years. Some of the best memories I have growing up are going to Niner games with family. I look forward to creating those same fun memories with her.

Briana is one of nine individuals selected to be in Class VII of the Future Volunteer Leaders, a program that guides the next generation of leaders within Western Growers member companies interested in becoming more informed and effective advocates for the fresh produce industry.
