November in Phoenix is a perfect time to explore the outdoors, as the scorching summer heat gives way to milder temperatures. With sunny skies and cool evenings, the city offers a plethora of outdoor events and activities that cater to everyone in and around the Phoenix area. Here are some to check out! Desert Botanical Garden’s Las Noches de las Luminarias This annual event transforms the Desert Botanical Garden into a stunning display of thousands of luminarias (paper lanterns). Stroll through the garden’s paths, illuminated by the soft glow of the lights, creating a magical atmosphere. Las Noches de las Luminarias will occur on Nov. 24-25 and Dec. 1-2, 8-9, 15-16, 19-23, and 26-30. Phoenix Turkey Trot 5K Get active on Thanksgiving day before indulging in your feast at the Phoenix

Turkey Trot 5K. This family-friendly event welcomes runners and walkers of all ages to enjoy a brisk morning run through the city’s Encanto Park. Don’t forget to dress up to win prizes! Gilbert Days Rodeo If you’re looking for a taste of the Old West, the Gilbert Days Rodeo in Queen Creek is the perfect choice. On Nov. 17-19, this family-friendly event will feature bull riding, barrel racing, and more. It’s an authentic cowboy experience! ZooLights at the Phoenix Zoo Experience the magic of the holiday season with the illuminated displays at ZooLights from Nov. 22–Jan. 14. The Phoenix Zoo transforms into a winter wonderland with millions of twinkling lights, festive decorations, and fun holiday activities. Santa will also be making an appearance!

Golfland’s Water and Ice Park Although not a specific November or seasonal event, Golfland’s Water and Ice Park in Mesa remains open all month. It’s a great place for families and kids to enjoy mini-golf, water slides, and ice skating! Don’t miss out on these opportunities to enjoy the outdoors and make lasting memories with family and friends this holiday season!
