INTERVIEW

SEEING THE GOOD

How has teaching at Dulwich changed you as a person? Good question. I was already 35 when I started at the College, and if you follow the Jesuit line – ‘Give me a child until he is seven and I will show you the man’ – you’re probably pretty well formed when you’re 35. On the other hand, I think teaching teaches you to learn from others and gives shape to your own experience. So I can say that I’ve met many boys and a great many staff who have taught me a great deal and you continue to learn as a person and learn as a human

Alexander Jeffs (Year 12) talks to Simon Northcote- Green , Deputy Master Pastoral and a figure of enormous importance in the life of the College, who retired this year after 27 years of service
