National Flower Day

March 21 National Flower Day invites everyone to appreciate the beauty and diversity of flowers, honour their vital role in our ecosystems and explore the rich cultural meanings behind every bloom.

Arbor Day

April 25

Arbor Day celebrates trees and their vital role in our environment, often marked by community tree plantings. World Migratory Bird Day is celebrated on the second Saturday of May as migratory birds journey to nesting sites. It is an opportunity for the City to share the importance of protecting birds. The Provincial Day of Action on Litter promotes efforts to prevent and reduce litter and waste across Ontario.

Provincial Day of Action on Litter Canada Road Safety Week

May 12 -18 Canada Road Safety Week aims to enhance public adherence to safe driving practices, with the goal of saving lives and reducing injuries on Canadian roads. May 18 - 24 National Public Works Week is used to educate, engage and inform the community about the essential role Public Works plays in keeping our city safe, clean and beautiful.
