THE PRINT BULLETIN
WHY ‘NEW YEAR, NEW YOU’ POSTCARDS MATTER : : :
As we’re decking the halls and spreading holiday cheer, it’s time to plan your next print marketing campaign. This season of joy is the perfect moment to send out New Year, New You postcards. The earlier your patients start physical therapy and meet their deductible, the sooner their care may be covered completely. The phrase “New Year, New You” carries a powerful message of personal transformation. There’s a reason January is one of the busiest months for health and fitness businesses. In the physical therapy field, it’s an invitation to start fresh, set new health goals, and finally find relief for aches and pains that may have held them back in the past year. Through your postcard messaging, you can motivate your patients to prioritize their health and to also encourage them to continue or start back up with physical therapy. We all know how busy this time of year is and it can be easy for patients to push off appointments without realizing how much it can set back their recovery. By sending a joyful reminder for your patients to put their well-being first, you’re reaffirming your role as the expert who can guide them toward their health goals. Whether they’re experiencing a flare-up, facing a new injury, or eager to work on personal health resolutions for the upcoming year, your postcard extends a friendly nudge to get them reaching out for an appointment.
While direct mail campaigns are usually sent to a list of your past patients, we can help you with obtaining a list of addresses in your area. Keep in mind that many people are focusing on their health this time of year and there may be potential patients in your area who could benefit from your services. Your postcard can include a list of what and how you treat to better educate recipients of all you offer. With postcards, there’s several ways your Print Account Manager can help track how many patients reactivate from the campaign. One way is through setting up a specific call tracking phone number for that postcard. This number will still go to the clinic but we will be able to track exactly how many new and reactivated patients call in. We can also include a QR code to request appointments and track how many unique users scan the code. It’s also very beneficial to fill out your stat tracker as we can see if there was a spike in reactivations after the postcard landed in mailboxes. As the year comes to an end, reach out to your Print Account Manager (or Digital Account Manager if you do not have a print contact) to get started on a New Year campaign that shows your patients you care about their health goals, strengthens your community presence, and overall enhances patient engagement.
