ACCESS FOR ALL Cheltenham Racecourse offers a variety of services and facilities to make sure everyone has a great day out

A t Cheltenham environment for all racegoers, including the elderly, those with young children or people with disabilities. Personal Assistant Admission Provided that a racegoer purchases a valid admission ticket for themselves, they are entitled to apply for one complimentary admission ticket for the same event for the person who is accompanying them to support as a personal assistant. Racecourse we aim to provide an accessible Eligibility Currently those who receive one of the following benefits are eligible to apply for a free personal assistant ticket: a) Disability Living Allowance (DLA); b) Attendance Allowance (AA); c) Personal Independence Payment (PIP); d) Armed Forces Independence Payment (AFIP). Additionally people who are Registered Blind are also eligible. Please note that a Blue Badge is not accepted as evidence of eligibility.

How do i apply? Applications (including all proofs) are to be made in writing to cheltenham. accessibility@thejockeyclub.co.uk, at least five days in advance of the event day or two weeks if the carer pass is required for The Festival in March. Disabled Car Parking, Coaches and Drop Offs The main parking area for Disabled Car Parking is situated near to the steam railway train station, and a buggy service operates on all racedays between there and the North Entrance. We strongly advise racegoers to arrive early to secure a place in this Disabled parking area as once it is full, Blue Badge holders will be parked in alternative locations. Please follow the directional signage on arrival at the racecourse. The drop off and pick up positions are a distance from the enclosure entrances and exits of the venue, so please do bear this in mind when planning your visit. We would always encourage those with mobility problems to travel by car rather than coach, minibus, limo or taxi.

Cheltenham Event Mobility Through Event Mobility Charitable Trust we provide electric scooters and manual wheelchairs for the use of disabled, elderly and mobility impaired visitors. To reserve an electric scooter or manual wheelchair in advance you can book online at www.eventmobility.org.uk, print out an advance booking form from the website or contact the Event Mobility office on 01386 725 391. Disabled Toilet Facilities There are a number of disabled toilets within the grandstands. All toilets can be accessed using a radar key. For ease, we recommend that racegoers bring a radar key with them during their visit, these can be bought online. If the racegoer does not hold a radar key the nearest steward will be able to assist.

Where possible, we are happy to make special arrangements and

assist with any requirements, but these must be made in advance of a raceday. Please email cheltenham.accessibility@ thejockeyclub.co.uk with any enquiries or visit the Venue Accessibility page at cheltenham.co.uk.
