F ew can disagree that racing is an exciting sport; it attracts a diverse audience and for brands that need to maintain and heighten awareness Cheltenham Racecourse is just about to deliver one of the most innovative racing initiatives in the northern hemisphere. In 2019 Cheltenham will launch The Orchard at The Festival™ presented by Magners, created to provide the shop window brands crave and featuring a select range of the very finest marques in business. The Orchard provides the platform to entertain, introduce and network with the most of exclusive of guests and celebrities. Featuring a range of Orchard Plots, packages are bespoke. “We will work with clients to assist in creating the very finest brand showcases possible, from contemporary fit outs to the chicest of mini developments, the only limit is imagination,” says Carey Weeks, Regional Head of Partnerships – South West. “It’s fantastic and something I have been working on for some time. So many of our clients are looking for this sort of shop window and to create the solution for them is a dream for me. And when you add in the added benefits of paddock trips, live music and an exclusive bar it’s really rather special.” Entry to The Orchard will be strictly controlled, with brands able to invite their guests, making it one of the hottest tickets around. Carey adds: “Racegoers won’t be able to buy tickets so we have also ensured there are some available for selected guests of the racecourse. It’s not about excluding racegoers, it’s more about providing the bedrock of a new facility that delivers the experience brands are looking for. “The Jockey Club invests all its profits back into racing so this is another way to ensure that we stay ahead of the game and continue to deliver the innovation that Cheltenham is quite rightly getting a name for.” There are still Orchard Plots available for nurturing in preparation for the harvest that is The Festival, with over one hundred shop units an apples throw away The Orchard is destined to become a favourite destination and a dead cert for business opportunities.
