Devon Day on November 25 is a great local tradition where we celebrate the loveliness that oozes from every nook and cranny of our county. Our celebrated Clydesdale race is a fundraiser for the Devon Air Ambulance Trust. Local food, drink and attractions are also to be enjoyed while our seven race card is sure to throw up a classy winner or two.

Tuesday October 23 is Best Mate Beginners’ Chase Day and a fine day to come racing as we celebrate the triple Cheltenham Gold Cup-winning legend after whom the Beginners’ Chase is named. This celebrated fixture is the place to spot future stars, so if watching the best of the best is your thing, make this a date in your diary. The Haldon Gold Cup on Tuesday November 6 is a jewel in Exeter Racecourse’s crown and one of Devon’s finest sporting occasions. Steeped in history, it has a roll call of runners that is bursting with some of racing’s most famous horses. Who can forget the Racecourse has an invitation for you to come racing. Grab our early bird offer, buy a Grandstand and Paddock ticket for just £10, and we’ll treat you to a FREE trip to the start, a behind the scenes tour, and the chance to ask a jockey about life in the fast lane. A racemaker will be available throughout the afternoon to answer any queries, and maybe give you a tip or two.
