St. Peters is a community committed to quality living. As the cooler air starts to settle in and our parks start showing the vibrant colors of fall, I want to take a moment to thank our residents and staff for making this past summer season one of our most memorable yet. It was great seeing all of our facilities and parks so busy while the kids were out of school.
Behind the scenes, we are also continuing to plan for several future trail improvements as we partner with Great Rivers Greenway on 3 different segments around the city. Your voice is vital as we shape the future of our trail system together, so please make sure you partake in the public engagement options they offer to our community. Children 6 & under with an adult may use the Leisure Pool (no slide) on select Sundays from 10:30-11:30 AM. The cost is $3 per child, $2 per adult, or free for Rec-Plex members. Tot Time will take place the following Sundays in 2025: Sept. 7, 14, 21, 28, Oct. 5, 19, 26, Nov. 2, 9, 23, 30, and Dec. 14, 21, 28. Is it difficult for you to stay motivated during the off season? How often are you able to practice your swim, bike, and run together? Our Indoor Triathlon Series is geared towards keeping you motivated and accomplishing your fitness goals. To complete a Rec-Plex indoor tri, you’ll swim a 25-yard lap lane in our indoor pool, transition to our cycle room for the bike ride, then make your way to the cardio theater to run on a treadmill. Rec-Plex staff will track your time.

In this clinic, instructors emphasize basic throwing mechanics using the windmill motion including balance, proper arm path, and proper follow-through. Class meets indoors at Sports Center for 30 minutes each week. For beginning students, skills are applied to learn how to throw the fastball and changeup pitches. Fundamental pitching mechanics are stressed and each pitcher is allowed to develop at their own pace. Intermediate and advanced students build on those skills.
Sessions are offered October through December on weekday evenings. Each session includes 10-12 lessons.
