Softball Tournament Scheduled For Aug. 16 ROUNDING THE CORNER, HEADED FOR HOME This year’s event is scheduled for Saturday , Aug. 16 , and it will be held in Cookeville, the site of our last two softball tournaments. If you’ve never attended the Averitt Cares for Kids Family Softball Tournament , we hope you’ll make plans to come this year! There are many reasons the tournament has long been one of our associates' favorite destinations. Facilities from across our network bring softball squads and catch up with fellow associates, and many bring their family and friends. As always, it will be a free, family-friendly occasion with lots of food, drinks, activities for children and highlight-reel softball action. READY ‘FORE’ SOME GOLF? Scott Wolf Memorial Averitt Open On Sept. 20 The Scott Wolf Memorial Averitt Open is one of our team traditions, and it raises money for a great cause – the Scott Wolf Memorial Scholarship. This year’s tournament is scheduled for wishes, the Wolf family set up a scholarship fund in his name in 2013.
Scott’s legacy of giving back to teammates continues to live on through that scholarship. Through the years, 114 students have received the scholarship, totaling more than $86,000 !
