Animal Wonders Troop Meeting
Animal Wonders has been a proud Community Partner with Girl Scouts since 2009 offering a variety of animal, conservation, ecology, and nature programs to enhance appreciation and understanding of the natural world. Animal Wonders brings the program to troops at a location of your choice! Cost is $12 per Girl Scout. Animal Wonders will not charge a travel charge for events scheduled within a 50- mile radius of Holden, Missouri. Additional charges occur beyond that radius. Cost includes a program with lots of live animals, exciting work that applies directly toward accomplishing the badge selected.

Girls will learn the basics about animals without backbones, meeting a variety of unique species of live arachnids, insects, and crustaceans from a variety of ecosystems. Girl Scouts will discuss why, and which species are beneficial, which species are harmful, life cycles, and more. Allow for approximately 2 hours.

Brownie
Animal Wonders teaches girls to identify wildlife by sight, sound,
Daisy Brownie Junior Cadette Senior Ambassador
and scent; log sightings for scientific research; and observe animal behavior and migration. Troop leaders choose hiking location (recommendations available). Can work toward Numbers in Nature or Outdoor Adventurer badges for Daisies/Brownies. Duration: approximately 2 hours.
