Minsuk Kim Crude oil is a crucial component in all industries from manufacturing to transportation. Due to its role, a positive correlation between global growth and oil price can be drawn out. In this task, I will analyse why oil price is falling even below $50 per barrel from its recent peak of $120 per barrel. Oil is mainly produced in Russia, America and the Middle East, especially in Saudi Arabia. One may argue that the price change in oil is due to the political and religious instability in the Middle East, although this is partially true, the price of oil is not mono-causal.
