THE KING'S BUSINESS
need,-JESUS IS. We readily think of Jesus as Saviour, Jesus a11 Lord, Jesus as King; we look back to the Cross and see Jesus as our Saviour, and we look Into the future and realize that Jesus is comlng,-but do we take In the full force of the simple words "JESUS IS"? Do we see Hllll a1 He who was, and Is, and is to come, He that ls the same yesterday, today and forever? As He Himself said, "Be– fore Abraham was I am." Do we real– ize the ever present Jesus, the One who now Is? Paul knew Jesus not only a11 the one who had died for him, not only as the Master whom he constantly served, but as a present, real divine personality In his own life. "For to me to live Is Christ for Christ liveth In me." Can we all say It? "Lo I am with you all the days, even unto the end of the world." Oh, blessed truth that JESUS IS. ii ii ARE YOU WATCfilNG? Are you watching for the comlnAt of the Lord? Are you looking, daily looking, heavenward? Do you know the promise true "I will come again for you?" Oh, be watching for the coming of the Lord! Wlll He find you In His vineyard when He comes? Will you be among the waiting, watch- ing ones? For the work He left to do May the Lord depend on you? Will He find you In Hts vineyard when He comes? Oh, the glory of that meeting, by and by! Blessed hope of gathering with Him in the sky! Changed and like Him we shall be When Hts ble)!sed face we see. Oh, the glory of that meeting, by and by! -Dorothy B. Polsue. (B. I. '%3)

The writer had nor written his own name or Initials t but had carved two words, evidently In– ~ tending to follow with one or more ~ others. The first word was JESUS,– • that name that is worthy to be writ– : ten above every other name: The writer had written well; he proclaimed Jesus, and concealed himself. Oh that we would all do the same! Oh that we would write the name of Jesus on the rocks, proclaim It along the high– ways, emblazoo it across the skies, write it on men's hearts and con– sciences! Of all the names of men there is one that Is truly worth while; may we write It large and plaln,– DJay men read it In our lives and in our conversation. Truly he writes well who writes the name of Jesus on human hearts. The unknown writer had gone on with his carving and had written the word "IS,"-"JESUS IS,'' and then had stopped. What, I thought, was the next word he had Intended to carve? What was his whole message? Was it "Jesus Is King,'' or "Jesus is Lord,'' or, more likely, "Jesus is coming"? Somehow I wished that my unknown friend had completed his Inscription. Why had he stopped with "Jesus is"? And, then, I thought, possibly he had written more wisely than he knew. Is it not, after all, the message that we
