come. They assured her that she would be gladly welcomed as the injured man up to the day before had not received the Lord while he was deeply concern– ed. At the home she found the in– jured man in a plaster cast, but with a very happy face, and soon after her arrival the wife said, "My husband is a Christian; he was converted yester– day afternoon." This the husband joy– fully acknowledged, thanking God for even a broken back because it had brought him to Christ. Then turning to the wife she asked how matters stood with her. No, she was not a Christian yet, but felt that she would be some time, but she did not want to take the step yet. Then began a strug– gle for the soul of the dear woman, the Bible woman praying, the husband with tears in his eyes begging his wife to ac– cept Christ, adding, "We have a little girl and she must be brought up right." Finally the woman asked the Bible woman ·to pray for h er, and after prayer, she took and signed her name to the tract which ended in an accept– ance of Christ. Such a happy family! And the joy continues. The husband is back at work, and the wife, who be– fore could not find time to attend the Bible class, is among the first to arrive every Tuesday morning.

Having withstood so long we had doubts as to the reality of the transac– tion, but all doubts were removed at a testimony meeting held a few weeks later, for she was the first to rise con– fessing clearly to the saving power of Jesus Christ, her radiant face also t es– tifying to the fact. A Broken Back Did It In a few moments preceding the Bible class, the women were discussing a recent automobile accident in which the driver had been seriously injured. The wife had attended the Bible class only twice, and was not well known to the Bible women, but as the conversa– tion went on she realized that the in– jured man's first thought on recovering consciousness had been that had he been killed he would have been for– ever shut out of the presence of God, and that he was anxious to be saved. As the hour and its lesson passed, she became more and more impressed that the Lord would have her call at the home that day, and later inquired of the women whether she would be we!-
