healed their sick." That means He felt sorry for them. Jesus Is not only sorry when He sees people suffering with sick bodies, but 0 so sorry when He sees the sick souls dying in sin. He wants to heal every soul by forgiving their sin, but you know He can not do it un– less we come and ask Him to do so. Our story says they came and asked Jesus to heal the sick woman in our story. What a wonderful time Dr.

Luke must have had as he would go among the sick to help make their bodies well, for He would always tell them of Jesus the Great Physician, who could do more than heal the body; He could heal the soul. Closing Prayer.-Our dear heavenly Father, we thank thee for health and strength, and best of all for Jesus, the Great Physician.

He was set apart by the laying on of the hands of th.e presbytery ( 1 Tim. 4: 14) as had been also Saul and Bar– nabas (Acts 13: 2, 3) "A!' they Dllnistered to the Lord and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Saul iuul Bnrnnbns for the '\Vork wllere– unto I have called them. We can be sure that Paul was led by the indwelling Holy Spirit, who abides in every believer, and who seals our bodies unto the day of redemption (Eph. 4:30) in his choice of Timothy. Leaders in Christian work should be very wise in their choice of helpers, de– pending wholly upon the Holy Spirit for guidance. God's ways are not man's ways, and often God's choice ia very different from man's choice ( 1 Cor. 1:27, 28)

Acts 16:1-3 "Him would Paul have to go forth with him" v. 3. Timothy was Paul's son in the Gos– pel (1 Cor. 4:17) "For this cause have I sent unto Tlm– othens, ·who ls my beloved son and faith– ful In the Lord, ·who shall bring you Into remembrance of my 'vays which be In Christ, as I teach everywhere In every church." He succeeded John Mark as a com– panion and helper to Paul. Just when he was converted is ·not stated, but a few facts are given which tell us of the foundation for his public confession of Christ (2 Tim. 1:6, 3:15) "When I call to remembrance t•e an.– feigned faith that Is In thee, whlela dwelt Grat In thT grandmotlaer Loi•, and tla7 mother Eunice; and I am per•••ded that In thee al110."
