As Jesus showed His wounds to Thomas to convince him, so some day He will show them to Israel to con– vince them. That sight will bring bit– ter remorse and mourning. Heed well the words of Jesus, "Blessed are they that have not seen, yet have believed." Blessed is that faith that rises above all temptations and doubts of Satan, and trusts the Lord Jesus Christ always and everywhere. ill. The Confession of Thomas. Full, hearty, unreserved. "My Lord and my God." Jesus convinced Thomas and then rebuked him. Too many are like Thomas, refusing to believe the word of God and rely on His care even where sight is Jacking to prove His presence. He rebukes such today as of old. To receive and believe the Word of God is not of nature but the gift of grace. The vital act of faith in Thomas as well as in all believers. "My Lord and my God." The great purpose in recording this experience of Thomas, as well as of all that went before was to convince the readers that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing they might have life in His name. & • THE JUNIORS THOMAS CONFESSES CHRIST'S DEITY John 20:24-31 Review: On what day of the week did Jesus rise from the grave? (v. 25) Did he believe them? Why did he not believe them? (It was so wonderful he thought it could not be true.) What did he say he would have to see before he would believe? (v. 25) What happened on the next first day of the week? Was Thomas with them at the meet· ing? (v. 26) Who came into the room? (v. 26) What did He say to them? (Peace) Is that what He said the other time! (v. 19) Did He say that to them before He was crucified? (John 14:27) t What did He say to Thomas? (v. 27) How did Jesus know that Thomas had said, "Except I shall see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into His side, 1 will not believe?" Does He know everything we say and think? (Jno. 2:25) Did Thomas do what Jesus him to do? (No.) What did he say? (v. 28) Is Jesus both Lord and God? (Yes) (John 1:3) What did Jesus say then? (v. 29) If you believe in Jesus are you blessed? (v. 29) Did Jesus do other things which ar not written here? (v. 30) Why are all these things written i this book which we have been studY ing?
