Bread of Life; he that cometh to me shall never hunger." (John 6:35)
Who did Jesus mean when he said, "Feed my lambs?" (Boys and girls who love Him are His lambs.) In the Old Testament we read that the Good Shepherd carries the lambs in His bosom. (Isa. 40:11) You remember the lesson we had about the Good Shep– herd in the 10th chapter, don't you? How many times did Jesus ask Peter if he loved Him? Does any boy or girl here know how many times Peter denied that he knew J esus when the soldiers arrested Him and took Him away to be crucified? (3 times) Do you think Jesus wanted to remind Peter of that time and to let him know that he was forgiven? What did the Lord tell Peter to do in verse 17? (Feed my sheep) Who are the sheep? (The older peo– ple that love Jesus) Do fathers and mothers need to be fed as well as boys and girls? What food does Jesus want them to have? (Food for their souls) . Do you remember what he told them about the Bread of Life in the 6th chapter? Did you ever think that when you take a verse out of the Bible and say it over and over and think about it, that it becomes food that wil! make you grow into a strong Christian? Does Jesus want us to feed other people too? How can we feed other people with the Bread of Life? (By telling them about J esus, and getting them to read the Gospel.) Do you think if Jesus were to speak to us today He would say, "Feed my lambs" and "Feed my sheep"? Don't you wish that every boy and girl, and every man and woman in the world loved Jesus, and loved to eat the food which He wants to give them? Let every one of us try to tell just as many people as we can to. read the Gospel of John. Memory Verse: "And Jesus said unto them, I am the

After they had breakfast, Jesus said to P eter, "Peter, do you love Me more than these friends?" Peter said, "Yes, Lord, you know that I love you." "Then feed My Iambs, Peter." That meant that Peter was to tell the little folks about Jesus as well as the big folks. Jesus said to him the second time, "Peter do you really and truly love Me?" "Yes, Lord, you know that I love you." "Feed My sheep," said Jesus. That meant that He was to tell the big people about Jesus. Jesus said to him the third time, " P eter, do you love Me more than your life, or any thing else?" That made Peter feel very badly, for he then remembered that he had said three times when Jesus was arrested, that he did not know Jesus. So this time Peter answered, "Lord, you know all things; You know that I love you." Then J esus said again, "Feed My sheep." Jesus knew how sorry Peter was for denying Him, and He forgave Peter, and gave him some hard work to do for Him to show Peter that he was fully forgiven. Jesus told Peter, that he would be crucified for preaching about Him, and loving Him, but said He, "This time I know you will not be afraid what tbeY do to you for My sake, and you will glorify Me by your death, for you will be so true to Me." Then Jesus said, "Follow Me all the time." Peter turned and saw John, and ask· ed Jesus, "What about John?" "It makes no difference to you what baP· pens to John; follow Me." What Jesus said about John to Peter, He says to us. There are times wbeD it is right for us to do certain things, but because other people do not do those things, we think we can Jet tbe!D
