Behind the Breeding
After extensive listening to the consumer and grower needs, we came together with our breeding team and started with new breeding lines. The breeding goal was an early, rich-flowering Petunia. which is flowering under short days. We used our large gene pool in petunia and with the combination of technology and green knowledge we bred, the new FlashForward ™ Petunia series. This beautiful series has a versatile use for baskets, mixed container and pack programs. The plants flower very early, even under short days. The plants are spreading and hold very well in the greenhouse, shop, and containers. The compact strong plant, rich-flowering and good branching make these petunias perfect for mixed containers where they will not overgrow other components in the pot. The large quantity of small-sized flowers make a huge color impact and recover quickly after rain. The plants can grow up to 18-inches wide in the garden, combo or hanging basket. After many years of trialing on locations in the US, Europe, and Asia, we are confident in the quality and very proud of this seed-raised Petunia.
