The Susan G. Komen Breast Foundation was established in 1982 by Nancy Brinker to honor the memory of her sister, Susan, who died of breast cancer at the age of 36. The mission of the foundation is to eradicate breast cancer as a life-threatening disease by advancing research, education, screening, and treatment. By participating in the “Kicking For A Cure“ Campaign pom and dance team members can help save lives and raise awareness one step at a time. By walking you are not only supporting a vital program, you are also supporting your team, school and community. You can choose to dedicate and pledge your own personal members and friends affected! We encourage you to spread the word in your schools and communities. One in eight women will be affected with this disease. In 2022: over 150 dancers joined the cause! Past participants have earned a total of more than $205,000+ campaign in honor of a battle/memory of family Please join us in 2O23 as we KICK FOR A CURE and make a difference!
