We often take our lungs for granted, breathing without ever having to think about it, but for those with chronic lung conditions, it is not always such a simple process. The COVID 19 pandemic has also been an eye opener for many people who have not previously been affected by poor lung health, and there has been a new appreciation for keeping our lungs as healthy as possible.

Pollution By following air pollution forecasts, you have an indication of when air pollution is particularly bad, and you maywant to limit time spent outdoors. It may also be useful to avoid exercising outdoors next to high traffic areas. Excersise Aerobic exercise and breathing excersices can help to improve general health and lungs

Vaccinations Vaccinations- one of the best ways to prevent the spread of certain diseases is through vaccination programmes. Vaccines stimulate your immune system to produce antibodies so that your body is able to recognise and fight an infection without having to get the disease first. Visit your Doctor There are some cases in which you need to see your doctor, including if you have had a cough for more than 3 weeks, are finding it hard to breathe, if your cough is particularly bad, quickly getting worse, or you are coughing up blood, if you feel very unwell or have chest pain, or you’re losing weight for no reason.
