Newfound Regional High School participates in the New Hampshire Scholars Program. This is a community-based program that encourages students to take a more rigorous core course of study in high school. New Hampshire Scholars is part of the National State Scholars Initiative Network. Twenty-five states across the country participate in this national initiative. During the 2016-2017 school year, we had 37 (out of 73) students graduate with New Hampshire Scholars Distinction. Newfound Regional High School offers both Running Start and Advanced Placement (AP) courses for students. Running Start courses are done in partnership with our local community colleges and offer the ability for students to take college level courses for credit while enrolled in high school. NRHS offers these courses in Software Applications, American Government, College Mathematics, Human Biology, and American Literature. During the 2016-2017 school year, NRHS had 75 students enrolled in these rigorous courses.
