A Journey Aligned with Purpose As I reflect on my journey toward the Cross-School Principal role at UWC Thailand, I ' m struck by how often my professional intentions have aligned with the school motto of Good Heart, Balanced Mind, Healthy Body — even if the words used at the time were different . Leading with Clarity and Care My 20-year career in education has provided me with a broad foundation to support UWC Thailand's holistic approach to learning in a diverse student body. From my beginnings teaching physics in the UK to leadership roles across international schools in Europe and Asia, I’ve consistently focused on student success in all its forms. At UWC, we value developing teacher expertise and creating inclusive environments that balance accountability with well-being. I believe students and staff flourish when their whole selves are recognised and supported. This means continuing to emphasise experiential learning, intercultural understanding, and developing compassionate leaders—while providing the conditions in which staff can give their very best to students.
