TERMS & CONDITIONS OF SALE

Handy (“the Company”) will enter a contract for the supply of goods and/or services bound by these terms and conditions. These terms shall prevail notwithstanding any others accepted as a custom of trade or incorporated in any order by the purchaser (whether written or oral and irrespective of dates) unless a variation of these terms and conditions is accepted and signed by a director of Handy.

Order Deadline A. Orders must be received before 4 pm for next day delivery. (Excluding certain postcodes)

Delivery A. Machines have a minimum order value of £200 nett or an £8.95 delivery charge will apply, to a maximum of 3 carriage free orders per day. (Excludes Lithium-Ion batteries over 100 watts where a £19.99 delivery charge shall apply).

B. Spare parts and Pre-pack parts have a minimum order value of £75 + VAT or a £5.95 + VAT delivery charge will apply. C. Delivery shortages, damages or mis-delivery of goods of any kind must be notified in writing within 48hrs of the delivery. Payment Terms A. Unless otherwise stated on the invoice, all invoices are payable on the 21st of the month following invoice. B. Overdue accounts will be surcharged by a monthly 2.5%. C. All credit accounts settled by credit card are subject to a 2% surcharge.

Retention of Title Clause The title in goods supplied remains the property of G. J. Handy (Trading) Ltd until payment is received in full. Additionally the Seller reserves the right of entry to the Buyer’s premises for the purpose of repossession of any goods supplied at any time where a balance remains outstanding or any other sum owing by the Buyer to the Seller has not been paid. This clause to stand in the event of Bankruptcy, Winding-up resolution, or the appointment of a Receiver or Liquidator. Returns Policy - Machines A faulty machine must be referred to the manufacturers approved service dealer or warranty service system to enable the fault to be diagnosed. This will enable the manufacturer to determine if the fault is that of the machine or misuse under the terms of the manufacturer’s warranty. If there is a valid warranty claim they will carry out the repairs or replace the machine under warranty. If the warranty is invalid they will advise the customer of this and the cost to repair the machine. If on receipt of a machine it has parts missing or broken, please contact our Customer Service Department by email: customerservice@handys.co.uk with full details of the product and the items missing. They will arrange for the missing parts to be distributed to you or your customer directly. If you need to return a machine to Handy you must submit a written request including full contact details (Name, Telephone Number, E-mail) or e-mail returns@handys.co.uk , within 14 days of the customer’s date of return. Please quote the Handy product code, purchase and return date plus full details of the fault. Just stating ‘faulty’ is NOT acceptable. Please detail any faults so that the manufacturer can be made aware of any problems, particularly if there is any question of safety. These requirements also apply if you use your own format of credit request or debit note. Returned goods will only be accepted for credit if they are genuinely faulty or not fit for the purpose for which they were intended. Claims for machines that are not faulty and are returned to us for no valid reason may be rejected and returned at your cost. Machines must be drained of all fluids and boxed securely for uplift. Our drivers are not allowed to collect returns without prior authorisation from our Sales or Returns Departments. Provided that the criteria detailed above have been satisfied the faulty items will be collected as soon as practical by our van or third-party courier. Returns will not be credited, or debit notes accepted, if the Handy Returns Procedure has not been followed. GJ Handy (Trading) Ltd will try to be as helpful as possible and appreciates your co-operation in providing full details of any fault. Returns Policy – Spare Parts Please contact via email parts@handys.co.uk or telephone 01793 333217 to request a return of a spare part. We reserve the right to refuse or charge a restocking fee.
