Our team represented the vendor in the disposition of 5618 Hazeldean Road, 212 acres of Draft Plan Approved land located in Kanata, Ottawa. The approved plan allows for a significant mixed use development of scale with the ability to build upwards of 2,755 units with additional commercial/retail space. We began marketing the site in November 2021 and had a firm deal in place in December 2021. The transaction closed in April 2022 for a total consideration of $245,000,000 to Minto, which makes this the highest-valued land deal completed in Ottawa’s history.
