CHURCH PLANTING AND CHURCH HEALTH DEPARTMENT Church planting has truly become a movement of God in Uganda! Churches planted by Okoa are not governed by Okoa, however. Churches are planted under established church associations that Okoa has helped to start. These indigenous associations provide Biblical oversight and accountability to the operations of the church. In 2022 alone, 50 church structures were planted! Since 2016, Okoa has planted over 600 churches. At least 70 church plants have gone on to plant churches out of their congregations. The Church Health Department assesses every church after six months and aims to: show love and care of Christ, ensure discipleship is implemented, keep sound doctrine, ensure spiritual and physical health, and see the extension of church planting movement.
