Hatha Yoga Intermediate Kanchan Ambwani

Come home to the roots of Yoga in the Hatha tradition. Explore your physical and mental boundaries as you hold some of the classical postures for a little longer while being mindful of alignment. Taught from an eastern perspective, this class moves at a slower pace than a Vinyasa Flow class and will help you build a good foundation in basic hatha yoga postures, terminology and philosophy. Feel challenged, refreshed and enlightened after each class. Modifications are offered if you are just getting started. “Yoga is a light, which once lit, will never dim. The better your practice, the brighter the flame.” B.K.S. Iyengar

Hatha Yoga Advanced Kanchan Ambwani

This class links the postures practiced in a regular Hatha class into a sequence of movements that flow with the breath. Variations on the Sun Salutation may be used as a warm-up followed by a standing sequence, balancing poses and then seated poses. Each class ends with shavasana, yoga philosophy, chanting and pranayama (breath practice). This class builds strength, endurance and a strong focus while diving deeper into the techniques and philosophy of classic yoga. Bring a bath towel or blanket, small pillow, a yoga “sticky” mat and water.
