Clayton,Dubilier & Rice has completed the previous- ly announced combination of Fort Dearborn Company and Multi-Color Corporation, creating what the firm says is world’s largest prime label supplier by revenue. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. With approximately $3 billion of annual revenue, the combined company serves many brands across end categories including Food & Beverage, Home & Personal Care,Wine & Spirits and other specialty end categories. David Scheible, Operating Advisor to CD&R funds and former Chairman and CEO of Graphic Packaging, assumed the chairmanship of the combined company. SGP Expands Sustainability Certification The Sustainable Green Printing Partnership (SGP) has released version 4.0 revised criteria of its sus- tainability certification which was first established in 2008.The new criteria which will be effective January 1, 2022, maintain a focus on the three pillars — so- cietal, economic, and environmental — through the development, implementation and documentation of a robust sustainability management system (SMS) and series of best practices. Revised every five years, SGP’s certification criteria establishes certified facilities as leaders in the sustain- able supply chain for print and related supplies, ac- cording to the company. The SGP Board of Directors approved version 4.0 which further streamlines the criteria, as well as includes provisions pushing the cir- cular economy model. With a circular approach, the certification makes SGP facilities one of the strongest parts of a sustain- able supply chain.Criteria focus on validation and doc- umentation of operational metrics help facilities con- tribute to their customers’ sustainability goals. L.comFine Installs Second Nilpeter FA-Line L.comFine, formerly known as Finewebtech, located in Hwa Seong Industrial Zone in the Gyeong-gi prov- ince of South Korea, has installed its second Nilpeter FA-17. L.comFine is now looking to acquire its third Nil- peter FA-Line, with a wider web width, that will allow the company to enter the flexible packaging segment in the near future.The FA-Line is available in 17-inch, 22-inch, and 26-inc web widths.
