STUDENT PERSPECTIVE

YEAR 3 REFLECTION OLIVIA & KRISH YEAR 3 SRC

Term 3 has been packed with exciting learning and fun activities! In Inquiry, we’ve been diving into how the Australian government works and what democracy is all about. We’ve learned about different leaders and their roles in making decisions for our country. It’s been interesting to see how everything comes together in our government! Our reading sessions have been interesting too. We’ve been focusing on nonfiction books and discovering how to use text features like headings and captions to find information more easily. This has made our reading sessions both more interesting and useful. Tuesdays have been extra special with our swimming lessons. We’ve had so much fun in the pool, improving our swimming skills and enjoying the time with our friends. It’s definitely been a highlight of our week. We also had to say goodbye to Mrs Stockley, who has left to have her second baby. We’re really going to

miss her and wish her all the best in this exciting new chapter of her life. Looking ahead, we’re excited about the democracy incursion coming up. It’s going to be a fantastic opportunity to explore democracy even more and have some hands - on fun with what we’ve learned. Our learner agency hour has been another great part of the term. Krish has been enjoying the Kahoot Club, while I’ve (Olivia) had a blast in the Comic Club. It’s been so cool to explore new interests and work with different teachers and students. Overall, Term 3 has been a wonderful mix of learning and fun experiences. We can’t wait to see what’s coming up next in Term 4! We’re excited to dress up in our sport colours on Thursday 19th September for our Footy Day too! Also.... Primary SRC students have decided on a day for our 2024 Colour Run spectacular! Don’t forget to pencil in our colour run for November 28th! How exciting! Watch this space...
