EVENTS MANAGER AND ORGANISER Events need careful management and planning to be a success. As an Events Manager and Organiser you’ll be expected to oversee all bookings, generate new business, and manage client expectations. Even with the best planning things can always change last minute, so you’ll need to be adaptable and think on your feet to ensure your customers are satisfied. Events Managers and Organisers are typically educated to degree level so you should consider further study after college. Your college course will prepare you for university and includes industry placements, helping you gain some invaluable experience in the workplace.

AMY STUDIED Travel & Tourism and Events Management DESTINATION Employment as a Travel Advisor at Bay Travel Amy was a pupil at Carnforth High School, initially attending a different college before transferring to Preston College. Amy studied the Level 3 in Travel and Tourism which has covers events management and aviation as well as a placement in industry to gain work experience. "My tutors have really helped me to grow in confidence, particularly with presentations which I was nervous to do, with their help and encouragement I completed a 15 minute presentation and achieved a distinction grade!
