Preston College Fashion and Media Make-Up Student, Benjamin James, won 1st place in the Student Awards at the Warpaint competition, winning a grand prize of £300 worth of products from two professional cosmetic companies, as well as being offered a place at Salford University continuing make-up media and prosthetics. Benjamin James is in his second year of his course and will be continuing his studies at the University of Arts London; London College of Fashion, studying Makeup, Hair and Prosthetics for Performance. Ben says: “Without Preston College and the course, I wouldn’t have received an offer from the top fashion school in the world. A big thank you to Preston College and all the staff that have allowed me to continue a dream and make it a reality. STUDENT TAKES FIRST PLACE AT WARPAINT

LEARNER AWARDS CELEBRATES EXCELLENCE Preston College proudly hosted its second Learner Awards evening on Monday 17 June, celebrating the exceptional achievements of our learners. The event was a night of celebration and inspiration, highlighting the hard work and dedication of our learners who have excelled, overcome their own personal challenges or barriers, and who have shown a high-level of commitment and devotion to their studies. Simon Nixon, Principal and Chief Executive, said: “This year’s Learner Awards Night was truly awe inspiring. It was incredibly moving to hear the stories of our learners’ journeys and witness their well-deserved recognition. Our learners inspire us every day with their commitment, enthusiasm, and dedication. Congratulations to all the finalists and thank you to our employer sponsors for their support.”
