Natalie Pitts, BIFA’s new Communications Manager

Sharon Sampeys, BIFA’s new Training Administrator

Natalie Pitts has joined BIFA as Communications Manager, while the Training Administration team has welcomed Sharon Sampeys BIFA makes two appointments

Training Administration team We also welcome Sharon Sampeys to the Training Administration team which she joins as Training Administrator handling training course bookings and related enquiries alongside long- standing team member Ramandeep Sohal. Sharon joined us in August from the health and social care sector where she had worked for the previous 10 years, with 10 years in banking preceding that. As well as other attributes, Sharon comes with excellent experience of working with the latest collaboration technology. In the short time she has been with us, she has helped Training Administration introduce a more collaborative way of working using MS Teams. Sharon sees this as a tremendous opportunity to learn about a new industry, one that she had heard much about from her partner who previously worked in freight forwarding, and she hopes to engage her skills into her new role.

In common with many other businesses, as a result of the changes in working practices brought about during the past 18-months, BIFA has begun to re-examine certain areas of activity. At the beginning of November, Natalie Pitts joined us as Communications Manager and will shape a communications team to be formed in the new year. One of Natalie’s first tasks will be to examine all elements of how we communicate with Members and our wider audience, with our intention to provide a better all-round, more modern service, including more relevant online events and social media presence.

Natalie joins us from Marie Curie, but her communications experience was gained from foreign exchange company Travelex, where she worked for 13 years starting as a cashier and working up to Communication Lead. Meeting Members During her induction period, Natalie has been getting an understanding of the industry and the role of BIFA, and has already met several Members at online regional meetings. If you have any ideas you wish to share with her, Natalie can be reached at n.pitts@bifa.org or on LinkedIn.
